Ok, just a quick update. I'm finishing the move to my new city today and am writing this just before the moving truck gets here to haul the suitcases and boxes to the new place from DF's. I'm sure he'll enjoy having the extra space back again since I have overtaken the entire second bedroom with my crap :oP
Anyways, I have still been knitting, but seeing as the camera is packed away, there are no pictures to prove this. I finished the Broadripple socks and just finished winding the yarn for the next pair of travel socks.
That's it for now. Gotta go make one last sweep and make sure all necessities are packed away before the moving guys get here.

We Interrupt This Knitting Blog...
To announce that I am moving. My contract in Naju is up and I'm looking forward to getting out of this city. I'll miss my neighbor Barbie and my friend Jessica, but really, that may be the only thing I end up missing about this place.
On the bright side, on Tuesday, I am supposed to go to my new school and tour and see the new apartment. Hopefully it will be nice. I'm also hoping still that I don't have to end up leaving the country because of visa stuff. All looks well right now, but I'll believe I don't have to leave when I have a new visa and alien registration in my hands.
Anyways, knitting is on hiatus for a few days. Hope you all have a great weekend! I'll be packing. I didn't realize I had this much yarn over here...
That and a surprising lacking of Lorna's Laces. After Christmas I thought I had a ton, but seeing as they don't actually reproduce without money leaving my pocket, the stash has dwindled due to using them...

Broadripple
Congrats to everyone who guess right about the sock being Broadripple from Knitty.com. I had considered making the Spring Forward socks out of this colorway since it is very spring-like, but after searching on Ravelry and seeing how some of them looked, I wasn't thrilled with the lace and the way the yarn almost has a self-striping effect. But, I remembered my Black Purl Jaywalker socks and realized that this yarn would be very nice in some sort of a zig zag pattern. So, I decided on broadripple after ruling out Jaywalker (I already have three pairs). I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
Now, for the big news. The winner of the contest, as chosen by a random number generator is...........
Jessi! Jessi, I'm contacting you on Ravelry to get your address.
More stuff tomorrow, including new yarn for my mom's vest that will be cast on soon.

Last Chance
So far, it's a dead heat between Janis and Dana for the winner of the handspun. I'm going to give you all one last chance now. Leave a comment before tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM EST and you'll be in the contest for 2 skeins of handspun alpaca, angora, romney blend yarn. And, here is also the third and final hint of the contest. I'm going to show you a finished sock. Now it's your job to find out what the pattern is from Knitty.com and leave a comment before tomorrow:And as always, here's the obligatory blobby cardigan picture:Still going strong, but now I can't seem to find a tape measurer anywhere in my apartment. I think I may have packed them all up this past weekend and moved them with the rest of the yarn. I'm sure I'll find some way to measure this to see if it's the inches I want. If nothing else, I'll have to try the thing on and see.

Blobby Again
Once again, I have a blobby picture of the cardigan. It's almost to the point where I will begin the rib and cable pattern for the bottom now, so I'm quite happy about this. So far, it's been a pretty mindless knit which is good for me most evenings, but I do think that I am very ready for a new twist to come up with this pattern. Anyways, here's the blob:Don't forget about the contest in the previous post! Dana is on the right track and may have guessed the pattern, but I'm not going to say yay or nay on if she's right. The last hint I have to give you is that the pattern does indeed come from Knitty.com and it also looks similar to at least one pair of socks I have made before. That should help you narrow it down even further!

Squees, Cardigans, and a Contest
First, I would like to say that I was absolutely giddy yesterday when Lorna's Laces commented on the new pair of Monkey socks! I love their products so much and it just really made my day to get a comment from them! Anyways, on to the post for today...
I worked some more on the cardigan, divided the sleeves away from the rest of the body and worked 3 out of 6 increase repeats before hitting the bed a little early. I think the yellow dust has moved in again here since it rained and my entire back porch was covered in yellow film afterwards. That and my eye is bugging the crap out of me which happens when the stuff moves in. Now, yellow dust has nothing to do with the cardigan. It was just a ramble that happened, so to make up for it, here's the still blobby cardigan progress picture:I'm also getting the travel sock ready to go for this weekend, so I started winding the two skeins of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in the Franklin's Panopticon colorway. This is where the contest comes in...
You have until Monday morning to leave a comment on this post. The people who can guess the pattern I am going to make with this yarn will be entered into a drawing for two skeins of my handspun that didn't get used up in the Clapotis. It's an alpaca, angora, romney wool blend with a slight sparkle every now and again. Here's a picture:And for those of you who have no clue what the Lorna's colorway looks like, here is the Panopticon colorway that is inspiring me to knit a certain pattern:Good luck and knit on...
Hint: The pattern is a free pattern online

There Are Some Days...
There are just some days when I miss being able to knit on my free time at work. The past two days, aside from 4th period yesterday, have been midterm exams for the kids here and I have had absolutely nothing to do except play facebook games. While I like playing facebook games, mind you, I also sometimes look up from the computer and at my Yarn Harlot calendar and realize how much knitting production has gone down since they made me stop. I only have two weeks left though, and maybe with any luck, my new job will let me knit on my free time there. Fingers crossed.
Anyways, I did finally get to the dividing row on the cardigan last night, but I failed to divide it since it was time for me to head to bed and I figured I could just work on it more tonight. So in other words, it still photographs like a blobby mass right now:There you go, Greenjeans blob. Hey, at least it's knitting content on this blog :oP
That's it for today. Hopefully I'll have even more progress to show you tomorrow!

As Promised
As I promised yesterday, here is a picture of the newly finished Monkey socks out of the Gerry's Roadside colorway of Lorna's Laces:I really like how this pattern made the blue in the sock yarn really stand out. They turned out great and I intend to wear them today. Tonight it will be back to the Mr. Greenjeans cardigan for a while and then collecting yarn for my mom's belated Mother's Day gift. She asked for a vest after I asked if there was anything I could knit for her, so vest it is.
That's it for today. Hopefully I'll have the cardigan divided and will be able to photograph it better tonight and give you a progress report on it.

Tea Fields and Knitting
I had a very nice weekend with DF. We went to some famous tea fields here in Korea, tasted tea, and took lots of pictures. Heck, I even got some knitting in as well. Knitting pictures will come tomorrow when I finish up the sock. This is one of my favorite pictures from this weekend since it's one of the few pictures DF and I got together since we were normally both shooting pictures of each other instead of getting someone else to take pictures of the two of us. It was a nice weekend, albeit a bit tiring, but I enjoyed it all the same!
Knitting tomorrow!

Being Lazy
I'm back, after a nice, lazy weekend with DF. We saw the new Wolverine movie, lounged around, and rested during our short vacation. I also knit on a sock and here it is:Monkey sock in Roadside Gerry colorway of Lorna's Laces. I like how it's looking and the second one will probably be finished this weekend on the bus rides to and from seeing DF.
Not much else is new. Mr. Greenjeans had two more rows knit on it last night, but it still looks like a malabrigo blob in pictures, so I'll get some up here once I can make it look less blob-like.
Hope everyone had a good weekend and got some knitting in!
