I almost finished the second full pattern repeat on Donegal this weekend. The sweater now measures about 10 inches in height and only has 6 more inches until I add steek stitches. I have to admit that I am a little weary of the steeking. I have never done it before and the thought of cutting the fair-isle that I have spent however long on makes me cringe. I'll still do it, especially since I am determined to work this patter as-is (aside from the yarn. I'm using KP Pallete instead of the uber expensive Rowan yarns. Gotta stick to the budget). Anyways, here's the sweater so far:

The red bars are not really that distracting in person. On the picture though, they stand out like a sore thumb. It's still nice looking though.
I also knit some more on the Irish Hiking Scarf. It's almost 3 feet long now:

I'm working on it now too, so it should grow some more as the day goes on.
Tomorrow will hopefully show more Donegal and more scarf progress.
