Finished Jaywalkers

Everyone else has much more faith in my knitting speed than I do. Robyn even said she knew I would finish the socks yesterday, but I just didn't think it would happen. I always set myself up for not finishing things when I say that I am going to finish them, but this time it actually worked.I think I'm done with this pattern now. I'm ready to move on to something else. I cast on for a plain sock for DF (I know you really want socks!) in UK blue and white colors. I'm also going to try to knock out his sweater here too since now it's the only big project left on the needles. I also need to make something for Dad for Christmas since I have Mom's knocked out too. My Christmas knitting is nearing an end!I do really like these socks. They're pretty loud for my liking, but they're tame enough that I'll wear them often I think. This is the bigger size, but it made the foot a little too loose for my liking too. I liked the tightness of the first pair around my foot, but I don't like having to practically use a shoe horn to get my socks over my heel. This pair, the heel is fine, but it's just lacking the tight foot. If I am ever inclined to make these again, I'll probably modify that some.

Anyways, I'm stuck in meetings all day. Joyful times. If nothing else, I'll knit on the breaks between the talks or something outside.

Knit on...

The slip stitches do interesting things with how that yarn stripes up. :D

I'm currently knitting the larger size and I have to really work at it to get it over my heel. If I knit this again, I'm going to modify it for a looser fit in the leg.
