Two FO's, Three WIPs

My FO to WIPs ratio isn't too bad right now for once. I was actually quite pleased. Let me just start by saying that I'm doing better today. I'm a rather emotional person as it is anyways, but throw in a crappy cold and I turn into downright whiny. I was able to sleep last night and that made a huge difference for me this morning. I think the lack of sleep yesterday made the day pretty miserable. Anyways, on to knitting stuff.

I worked on DF's sweater yesterday. It's now 13 inches long. It needs to be 17 before I can start arm shaping, so it's going right along right now.I also started the Broad Street Mitten last week and here's the progress so far.And of course, the other WIP is the sock, but it got no love this weekend and is still the same as it was in the picture on Friday. If I'm up to poker tonight, the sock will come out and play. Now for some FO's. I made another Calorimetry, but this time only cast on 90 stitches and I'm much more happy with it this time.Ignore the fact that my face is all flushed here. I ran a bit of a fever last night when I was taking these pictures.Much better. I don't look like a mushroom in this one. I gave the other one to my friend Erica and she actually has the head shape to pull off the bigger one and not look like a blue-headed mushroom. She likes it and I liked getting rid of it. I'll stick to this one which I even wore today (courtesy of 33 degrees F this morning).

Now on to the last FO. I finished the lectern cover for my dad and it's blocking in the front room now.I'm really pleased with how this came out. I really like the dove and I like the cross aside from the arms being a little too thick for my liking. I'm not going to rip it out, so the arms are just going to stay that way. Here's a close-up of the dove. And here's a close-up of the cross. It looks less wonky now. After I looked at these pictures, I went back and straightened everything again so it'll dry right. There will be different colored backgrounds for this to be snapped onto, so once I get those cut and sewn, I'll post the completely finished thing up here. The pattern is my own and for my first lace design, I'm pretty happy with it.

Time to go blow more junk out of my nose. Colds are so dignifying :oP

Knit on...

I'm glad you're feeling better emotionally--now we just need to cure that cold!

The lace piece is absolutely gorgeous... did you chart the dove? Because I'd love to have the chart if you did!

Awesome Calorimetry. I will be wearing mine tomorrow- it is cold here, finally!

Glad you're feeling a bit better. I've been praying for you.
